In 2007, Three Rock won a project to design and build a database warehouse for an international manufacturer. The client has 14 manufacturing plants in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

Our data warehouse is supported by a series of stand-alone tools we developed to perform nightly extracts from source systems. We collate all data in temporary holding tables, we then transform the data from it's source format into a generic format that can be queried, sliced and diced and used as a source of MIS reporting.

The end result is that accountants get daily updates on purchases/sales/inventory and delivery performance where previously such information was perhaps a week out of date by the time spreadsheets from each of the systems were collated.
